Think Beyond Practice

ADHD

By Sara A Powers · December 12, 2025 · Case Discussions

Hello! Im a brand new provider, I’ve only seen a handful of patients. I have a new intake on Monday. A 58-yr-old female coming to me for ADHD. She’s had the testing done through our office and received the official diagnosis. She is currently taking tramadol 100mg 2-3 times daily, xanax .25mg and ambien at night for sleep. She reports that the symptoms cause mild problems. What are your thoughts? I don’t think I would want to start with a stimulant, possibly a non stimulant. I don’t really have any other information right now, I will of course do a thorough Intake but just wanted some ideas before I see her! Thank you!
